Fonkoze’s adult education programs strengthen economic resilience by equipping Haitian families with skills to meet basic needs and build sustainable livelihoods. Through EdTek, participants:

• Strengthen household budgeting and savings practices
• Improve small business management
• Build leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Increase confidence and agency
• Support one another through peer learning and community development

Fonkoze’s programs are designed to create lasting, practical change in the daily lives of participants. Through hands-on learning and peer-to-peer engagement, women gain skills and knowledge they immediately apply within their households, businesses, and communities.

• Improved literacy and financial skills enhance economic resilience
• Knowledge directly applied to household and business decision-making
• Evaluations show participants retain disaster preparedness measures and practical life skills
• Documented improved business management skills
• Reduced delays in reimbursement of loans in their VSLAs 
• Improved separation of personal and business assets.  
• Participants also said the training improved their personal confidence and capacity to play an active role in their household and in the local economy.
