Fonkoze Partners with Caribbean Apparel and Mathieu Jean Baptiste for “Senkantde – 52” Limited Edition Shirt Collaboration
Fonkoze is proud to partner with Houston-based artist Mathieu Jean Baptiste on Senkantde – 52, a limited-run shirt collaboration honoring Ayiti and the Haiti national soccer team’s historic qualification for the World Cup 52 years ago.
As Haiti prepares to take the world stage once again, this collaboration celebrates Haitian pride, culture, and representation through art and sport. The collection features artwork by Mathieu Jean Baptiste, whose work has been exhibited globally and featured on a soccer ball installation at Houston Hobby Airport.
$2 from every shirt sold will support Fonkoze’s work alongside families and communities across Haiti.
Founded on the belief that Haitians are the best agents of change for Haiti, Fonkoze works with women and families across the country through programs focused on livelihoods, financial inclusion, healthcare, education, and pathways out of poverty. Every purchase helps invest directly in that mission.
The collaboration also arrives as supporters around the world rally behind Haiti’s upcoming World Cup matches:
- June 13 — Haiti vs. Scotland at Boston Stadium — 9:00 PM ET
- June 19 — Brazil vs. Haiti at Philadelphia Stadium — 9:00 PM ET
- June 24 — Morocco vs. Haiti at Atlanta Stadium — 6:00 PM ET
Mathieu Jean Baptiste, based in Houston, Texas, describes his artistic practice as a way to unite people across differences and experiences. “This world is filled with confusions and misunderstandings as people struggle and strive in this beautifully complex maze of life,” he shares. His work reflects hope, connection, and the possibility of a better world — values deeply aligned with the spirit of this collaboration.
Through Senkantde – 52, art, sport, and community come together to celebrate Haiti’s enduring strength while giving back to the people and communities shaping its future.
